Moral Science/Character Education
In this techno-world, we at DAV see a need to introduce Moral Studies in our classrooms starting at a young age. Moral science is an absolutely essential part of the school curriculum since it shapes the way we look towards our everyday life. It influences our critical thinking and helps students to understand themselves, their bond with the universe and all existent things, which feel and communicate. We educate our students in virtues, principles and ideals to build character and personality that will shape their social future. We discuss feelings about what they see, read and hear around them and help them discern good from bad. This helps reinforce positive behavior. We help our students foster mutually benefiting relationships amongst each other thus, strengthening their bonds of friendship and respect for peers and elders. Our hope is that Moral Science Study will help our young adults counter bad influences, build ethical standards and promote fairness, honesty and integrity once they step out into the wider world.
Character Education enables young people to become responsible individuals by teaching positive character traits, leadership and life skills so they can make ethical choices and achieve their full potential.
Moral science influences our critical thinking and helps students to understand themselves, their bond with the universe and all existent things which feel and communicate. We are humans, naturally we share some goals; moral science facilitates our understanding of our needs and goals so as to make us reach those goals in a better way by cultivating the practical application of principles and morals.
